During Kelsey’s Bridal session at Shirley Acres, I had the pleasure of carrying her shoes and adjusting her dress. I know it doesn’t sounds like the most glamorous task, but it is always my favorite. There is so much chaos and stimulation taking place that it becomes hard for anyone to divert their attention to any single conversation. However, following the bride around allows me the honor of being able to share a few quiet moments or silly giggles with her. Also, it allows me to really get to know the bride. I knew that Kelsey was having a destination wedding in Cancun, but hadn’t met Kelsey until her Bridal session. Throughout our conversation, she told me about her and her soon to be husband’s love for the outdoors and I could definitely tell that she loves nature. Yet, as she told me she didn’t need her shoes to walk through an open pasture in her wedding dress, I realized I absolutely could not imagine Kelsey getting married any other way than barefoot on the beach! Of course, Shirley Acres keeps their property in immaculate shape so there were no disasters with ants or sticker burs! The landscaping is so pretty and there are so many perfect photo opportunities there. We also had the pleasure of photographing Kelsey’s reception at Shirley Acres too! I can’t wait to share it with you!
