However, there is something extra special about a black cowboy hat. As a child, I can remember thinking my Dad looked so striking when he wore his black cowboy hat. It is one of those memories I always look back on fondly. Kat and Malcom probably share my affinity for this look because Malcom and his Groomsmen all wore black cowboy hats.

Kat wore the loveliest mantilla veil. They are a personal favorite of mine because I just think they always look so feminine and delicate. She also wore an adorable pair of turquoise Christian Louboutin heels. Talk about perfect as something blue! Kat also had two first looks – one with her Dad and one with Malcom. I love first looks of every kind whether it is with the groom, bridesmaids, or Dad. They are a perfect way to spend time with those you are closest to before the wedding craziness begins! Everything just becomes very real the moment you slip on your gown.

After having a little fun with the wedding party, we all headed back into the reception where everyone was able to kick up their boots and have a great time. This included guessing who might smash the cake – the bride of the groom. Kat took us by surprise and made sure her new husband was really able to enjoy his cake.  Before we knew it, it was time for the sparkler exit. Who doesn’t love a sparkler exit??? We are wishing Kat and Malcom so many more days just as happy as this one!
