It is pretty spectacular. However, today I am going to talk about me. I have shared that I am a C. Baron Bride bride turned C. Baron Team Member and this year my Husband and I celebrated our five year anniversary. It was pretty exciting!  To celebrate our five year anniversary, we decided to plan an Anniversary Shoot. A lot changes in five years, ya’ll! We wanted to document this sweet time in our lives because we know we can never get this exact point in our lives back. Not to mention, we now have several more spectacular images hanging on our wall!

I am utterly obsessed with Halloween. It is my favorite time of year. In fact, I wanted a Halloween wedding. Much to my disdain, Kevin wasn’t into having a Halloween wedding. Therefore, we got the next best thing. As a former Funeral Director, I have a deep rooted love for cemeteries. Naturally, where else was I going to have my shoot? I drew inspiration from Anne Rice Novels and old Horror films. While all this may seem like random spooky and gloomy treasures. It isn’t. Everything I used has great significance to me. I love symbolism. So throughout the shoot I incorporated the number five – symbolizing five years of marriage. I had the roman numeral five painted on my nails. The dark red blood droplet necklace I wore – had five drops. There was a number five on the top of our cake. The candelabra had five candles. The skull cameo on my bouquet Kevin surprised me with on our favorite vacation to date. I had fallen in love with it in The French Market in New Orleans. I wasn’t wanting to part with the funds, but he bought it when I wasn’t looking. It was an incredibly sweet surprise. I had a little bit of a literary theme going on at our wedding, so many of the books used were used as centerpieces on our wedding day. One of the books was actually what our ring bearer used to carry the rings down the aisle in. The other books, were my text books in mortuary school. Also, our dog, Sophie, turned five this year. She came into our lives exactly one month after we got married. So this is our fifth year of wonderful with her. As many puppy parents know, she is the center of our universe. We couldn’t image this shoot without her.

I could go on indefinitely about how perfect this day was, but I will spare you. Truthfully, it was so special. Every couple deserves to celebrate anniversaries like this! Happy Halloween!
